Physical Examination for Infertility Diagnosis
Infertility refers to the condition that the spouse without birth control has had sex for more than 12 months and the woman did not pregnant while the World Health Organization (WHO) specified a period of 24 months.

History Taking
Women
It includes a history of menstruation, surgery, marriage and childbirth, sexual intercourse, birth control, some personality traits, lifestyle, personality, traits, exposure to drugs, radiation, chemicals, accidents, and surgeries.
Men
It includes a history of past illnesses, such as mumps, sexually transmitted infections, diabetes, endocrine diseases, some traits (smoking or drinking alcohol), lifestyle, personality, exposure to drugs, radiation, chemicals, sexual intercourse, and frequency of sexual intercourse, accidents, surgery, and a concussion on the reproductive organs.
Physical Examination
Woman
General physical examination includes medical diseases that cause infertility, endocrine examination (Hypothalamus, Pituitary, Thyroid), and specific examinations of the female reproductive system, namely the vagina, cervix, fallopian tubes, ovaries, pelvic adhesion, and sperm immunity.
Man
General physical examination includes an examination of the reproductive system, such as the foreskin, appearance and urethral opening, testicle shape, and varicocele.
Laboratory Test
Women
It includes general blood examination and hormone testing.
Men
It includes general blood examination, hormone testing, and semen test.
Normal value of semen
- The volume of semen: 2 cc. or more
- pH: 6-8
- Sperm count per cc: 20 million/cc or more
- Movement: 50% or more
- Appearance: 50% normal or more
- Alive: 50% or more
